It took about 30 days to thaw the 82 years of accumulated ice and another 18 months to make the building suitable for occupation. In 1997, a second development team converted the building to 89 condominium units, working closely with the Colorado Historical Foundation and the Denver Landmark Commission to cleverly and discreetly add windows to the expansive 1903 south faade.
